Description:
One of a pair of white linen pillowcases, each with "Julia A. Stebbins" written in black India ink. This may have been Julia A. Stockbridge Stebbins (b.1827), daughter of Ebenezer Stebbins (b.1792) of Bloody Brook and Rebecca Hunt (1797-1866) of Sunderland, Mass., who married Rufus Dickinson in 1847.
