Description: Boy's one-piece linen suit, sometimes known as a skeleton suit, for its close contours to the body. Between the ages of four to seven, young boys made the transition from skirted garments (like those worn by their sisters) to breeches that define the legs. This practical example of a young boy's suit was made as one piece. It may have been designed to be worn as an undergarment (possibly replaced buttons), or may have been worn as an outer garment.
