Description: French delft circular plate with blue and purple decoration (attributed to France because of the thick body and blue/grey decoration). The well is decorated with a circular design consisting of purple cross-hatching, surrounded by a solid blue circle, surrounded by a wriggly purple line from which extends two alternating patterns of trefoils and diminishing arcs. The rim is decorated with alternating scrolls with matching diminishing arc patterns, valutes, and trefoils, surrounded by a light blue band.
