Description: English copper hot water kettle covered with fragments of the original japanned decoration of floral sprays in red, white, and gold on a black background. The shaped lid has an acorn finial; the shaped handle is wrapped in the surviving rattan and supported on two rococo brackets with rivited shell terminals. The kettle has a globular body, to which a swan's neck spout is soldered, and a narrow applied foot ring.
