Description: English lusterware goblet with an everted rim, very short stem, and footed, flared flat base with an incised line around the edge. The goblet is covered with copper lustre and decorated with a band of white grape vines and tendrils over pink lustre around the rim; there are a number of raised bands around the rim and mid-body. Its copper lustre decoration is created by applying gold salts to the red earthenware body, where in the heat of the kiln the metal is deposited as a thin layer on the surface.
