Description: Hand-colored print of a woman standing next to her son as he looks in the peephole of a music box operated by a poorly-dressed man standing on the side in light pink, blue, and green, which is inscribed "Published by William Miller, Albemarle St., January 1, 1805." The man, woman and her daughter standing behind her are all looking forward. William Miller (1769-1844) was one of the leading English publishers of the early 19th century. He started his business on Bond Street in 1790, and moved to a larger house in Albemarle Street in 1804, where he continued until his retirement from business in 1812.
