Description: Wooden bottle with leather banding (new, along with stopper added by Ed Gritz in 1963) and a hand-written label: "Cedar Bottle / Made from stockade used in / fortifying Deerfield in 1704 by Mr. Munn from Northampton for Gideon Dickinson at Whately-presented by his nephew Dennis [Thomas?] Dickinson / Nov 27 1872 [1870?.]" The bottle was donated to PVMA by Dennis Dickinson, Whately, and listed in the Fort as "99. Wooden Drinking Bottle, of cedar. Made by Benjamin Mumm from remains of the old stockade used in fortifying Deerfield in 1704, for Gideon Dickinson of Whately."
