Description:
Silver tesapoon with a short pointed bowl, rounded shoulders, and fiddle-end handle with a short mid-rib, which is marked "N.DICKINSON" in a serrated rectangle for Nathan Dickinson (1800-1861), and engraved with the initials "MME" in script on the front of the handle. A member of the Dickinson family of Amherst, Dickinson worked as a jeweler and silversmith in Amherst until he and his family moved to Romeo, Michigan, where he became s successful businessman.
