Description:
Chinese export porcelain plate in blue, black, iron red, and gilding. Blue band with gold stars, and iron red band with gold dots in Meissen-like border and traces of gilding on rim. Pseudo spearhead border with blue and gilt leaf chain at top of cavetto. Center has pseudo armorial in blue, gilt, and iron red initials "JAC" or "JAG", which is typical of the pseudo-armorial devices on Chinese export porcelain made for the American market at the beginning of the 19th century. Opposite side has blue and gilt flower sprig. Matches 60.305.
