Description: English creamware teapot painted in overglaze iron-red and black enamels. The round pot has a concave neck; a ribbed, double-intertwined loop handle with flower and leaf terminals; curved, fluted spout molded with acanthus leaves at the base; a lid with an applied, reclining flower knob with a flower and leaf terminal; and bead moldings around the outer edges of the lid and pot opening, and at the the body and neck joint. The body and lid are painted with alternating vertical bands of a four-dot pattern, red and black wavy lines, and broad red bands; the outer knob edge is red.
