Description: Soft-paste porcelain tea cup and saucer, decorated with overglaze polychrome enamels. Painted in iron-red, brown, rose, green and black in Chinese famille-rose style with the ‘Blackbird’ pattern, depicting a black exotic bird perched on the gnarled branch of a flowering prunus tree growing behind a pierced rock amidst other flowering plants, the interior rim of each with an iron-red double line and C-scroll border pendent with yellow-centered purple demiflowerheads. Condition: The cup good; the saucer with three small chips on the rim where the firing spurs were removed.
