Description:
Ensemble (dress and jacket) worn by Helen Geier Flynt (1895-1986), New York City (poss. purchased in New Jersey or Connecticut), c. 1940. One-piece, short-sleeved dress with matching belt of orange textured, plain-weave silk. Pointed collar and V-neckline. A-line skirt ending just above the knee. Proper left side zipper. Single patch pocket with embroidered crest in blue, yellow, and white. OL, CB: 46” Short-sleeved, collarless white, plain-weave linen jacket with short, flared peplum. Two patch pockets at waist, each with matching embroidered crest in blue, yellow, and orange.
