Description: Teacup and Saucer, attributed to Caughley Factory (1775-1799), Broseley, Shropshire, England, 1774-1784. This appears to be a variant on the “Apples and Damsons” pattern. Soft-paste porcelain transfer printed underglaze cobalt blue. Saucer is round with shallow dished surface and applied footrim, decorated on the top with a transfer print in underglaze blue of four groups of fruits, leaves, and flowers. The cup is a shallow bowl with applied foot rim and decorated similarly to the saucer. Both the cup and saucer have no blue border.
