Description: One-piece day or afternoon dress worn by Helen Geier Flynt (1895-1986) during the 1940s. Helen, along with her husband Henry N. Flynt (1893-1970), founded the Heritage Foundation, later Historic Deerfield, in 1952. The gown is made from two colors of silk crepe (orange/salmon and white), and decorated with a thick yellow braid trim. The skirt hem ends just past the knees. a bright gold/green-yellow braiding. Label “MILGRIM.”
