Description: Evening dress worn by Helen Geier Flynt (1895-1986) during the 1960s. Helen, along with her husband Henry N. Flynt (1893-1970), founded the Heritage Foundation, later Historic Deerfield, in 1952. The full-length gown features cap sleeves, and a decorated bodice with a sheer decolletage and light blue sequins or paillettes. As indicated by labels inside the garment, the dress was made by American manufacturer Foxbrownie and sold at the Fifth Avenue department store Bonwit Teller.
