Description: The form of this decanter, the style of the molded decoration and the slightly raised circular area in the center of the concave base, typical of Belfast and Cork, point to an Irish origin. Colorless lead glass decanter in a sugarloaf shape, blown and patterned in a full-size dip mold with a circle of short indentations around the outer edge of the slightly concave base, freeblown body, neck, and flat lip, blowpipe pontil mark on bottom of decanter, slight kick to the base, stopper is hand pressed in a circular starburst shape with a central circle surrounded by ribs with a ground stopper base. Stopper not original to the decanter.
