Description: Porringers were a cross between a tea cup and a small bowl. They were used to consume soup, stews, and pottages. Thrown deep earthenware bowl with attached strap handle on the side; turned foot rim, turned lip of the bowl, Circular, deep-sided thrown cup with strap handle attached to the sided, covered all over with manganese black lead glaze, Condition: Handle broken in several pieces. Conserved at the Williamstown Art Conservation Center, 2015.
