Description:
Thrown redware jug with ovoid shape, swelled, rounded sides, applied strap handle, covered with a greenish brown or olive glaze, some circular glaze losses to the side of the pot. Jug was filled with linseed oil which had dried out and became thick. The oil was poured out slowly over time and then conserved. Current attribution provided by American ceramics scholar Justin Thomas, 1/16/2019.
