Description:
Thrown, cylindrical red earthenware jug with round bulbous body, narrowing neck, flaring mouth with ledge to receive lid (now missing) and suggestion of a pouring spout, attached strap handle on side, surface of jug is lead glazed inside and out, surface of jug has small flecks of brown iron or manganese color scattered on the exterior orange-colored surface. Condition: Glaze losses on the side of the handle, edge of rim has chip.
