Description: Quilted piece made up of a printed cotton and possibly linen, which is a partial segment of a continuous meandering floral design, with wool batting in-between. The cotton side is copper plate printed, with wood block colors added on a white/off-white ground; the yellow has faded, but may have been overdyed onto the thick blue stem for green. The cotton side has a meandering floral and vine design (c. 1770) in 7-8 colors, and is pieced with a single seam; the other side (possibly a linen) is a maroon printed vine and flower design (c.1800). The quilting is done in V-shaped stitching lines.
