Description: White linen sheet, made up of two 40" wide selvage widths. Marked "Burr" for Lucy Burr, written in ink in one corner and a sticker with "151" written in pencil (possibly a dealer tag). Sheets were one of the most basic and prevalent kinds of textile used for beds. By the 19th century, they could be marked with ink, as opposed to earlier cross stitched embroidery, to show ownership or inventory information.
