Description:
Small turned, red-painted side chair with straight, round posts topped with truncated, turned finials; three simple turned horizontal and three vertical spindles with slightly swelled center turnings and ring turnings close to the top and bottom; and a replaced rush seat. Phil Zea thinks that the chair, which does not appear to be from New England, may be mid-Atlantic and of very late manufacture.
