Description: Circular pewter ladle with turned wooden handle, which is an unmarked example of the work of Richard Lee, Sr. (1747-1823) who was working with his son, Richard Lee, Jr. (b.1775) in Springfield, Vermont, at various times between 1795-1820, according to David Kilroy, a member of the Pewter Collectors Club and researcher on Richard Lee's pewter. Wayne Hilt, pewter dealer and member of the Pewter Collectors' Club, also confirmed the attribution to Lee and remarked on the unfinished rim along the edge of the ladle.
