Description:
Joint stool made of a quartered oak base and hard pine top with a molded edge. The ring-and-baluster turned legs are slightly splayed for greater stablility. The table was found in Chiltonville at the southern end of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and represents the earliest type of New England joint stool. This was one of Henry Flynt's favorite pieces.
