Description:
English creamware circular lid or cover with a large ball finial decorated with four transfer-printed landscapes, which was not original to the related punch bowl (HD 1130.1) and dish (HD 1130.2). The cover might be attributed to Josiah Wedgwood based on the Wedgwood mark on the related punch bowl, or it may have been made at a different factory but decorated in the same manner. The scenes on the four prints include small cottages, grazing animals, rivers, people working, and a ruined gothic arch.
