Description: Chinese export porcelain cup with "C" shaped handle in black, green, blue, white, rose, brown, iron red enamels and gilding. The side has the arms of Crichron-Freke and floral sprays on both sides of the handle. The rim has a gilt edge and gilt spearhead border. This is one of four Chrichton services, two of which have Freke impaled. Chrichton of Ruthven. Possibly made for a family member of Patrick Chrichton, first officer of the "Earl of Elgin" at Canton in 1764.
