Description: vertical ōban; nishiki-e; musha-e
Label Text: This print is signed at lower-left "Gototei Kunisada ga" ('drawn by Gototei Kunisada'). Immediately to the left of the signature are visible the mark of publisher Kawaguchiya Uhei — the kanji "ue" beneath a single peak, below which is written "Kawaguchi," all enclosed in the rectangular cartouche — and the circular kiwame seal of the censor. The warriors are identified in the text at the top, with Satsuma no Kami Tadanori getting pinned by Okabe Rokuyata Tadazumi. This "grappling picture," as the text at lower middle-right refers to it, is a historical print of a skirmish that took place at the Ichi-no-tani in the late 12th century ACE.
