Description: horizontal ōban format; yoko-e; bijinga; fūkeiga; nishiki-e
Label Text: This print is signed at middle-right "Gototei Kunisada ga" ('drawn by Gototei Kunisada'). The name "Gototei" literally means "pavilion of the fifth ferry," a reference to Kunisada's family's boat business. At lower-middle is visible the circular kiwame seal of the censor, beneath which is the seal of publisher Nishimuraya Yohachi of the firm Eijudō: a "mitsu-tomoe" ('triple-comma') design beneath a single mountain peak.
Another impression of this print is held by the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. (call no. FP 2 - JPD, no. 1630 (B size) [P&P]). That impression has been incorrectly attributed to Utagawa Toyokuni I, Kunisada's teacher.
