Description: vertical ōban; probably the single panel of a triptych; nishiki-e
Label Text: This print is signed at lower middle-left "Shunchō ga" ('drawn by Shunchō'). Beneath the signature is the seal of the artist, which reads "chūrin," an abbreviation of "Chūrinsha," a name occasionally employed by the artist. The seal of publisher Nishimuraya Yohachi of the firm Eijūdō is visible at lower-left. That particular seal design was employed by the publisher from ca. 1780–1805. This sheet bears no further identifying marks. Another impression of this print is in the collections of the Boston MFA (acc. no. 21.5953).
