Description: ōban yoko-e; nishiki-e; fūkei-ga; meisho-e
Label Text: This print is signed at upper-left "Hiroshige ga" ('drawn by Hiroshige') with an accompanying artist's seal in red, which reads "Ichiryūsai," a name used by the artist from ca. 1831–1840. The title of the print and the series to which it belongs is printed at upper-right within the blue cartouche. At lower middle-right are the circular 'kiwame' seal of the censor and the mark of publisher Sanoya Kihei, then of the firm Kikakudō. The publisher's seal gives his location as "Shiba Shinmeimae," very close to the scene herein depicted. This particular design of Sanoya Kihei's seal was employed in 1834, and has been used here to establish the date of publication.
