Label Text:
This is the rightmost panel in a triptych that depicts a street scene outside of Kinryūzan, the oldest Buddhist temple in Edo, dating to the seventh century ACE. It is signed at lower right 'Chōōrō Kuniyoshi ga,' or 'drawn by Chōōrō Kuniyoshi. The publisher's print, directly to the left, is composed of a double-peaked mountain over the syllable 'tsu,' written in katakana, and is unidentified.
