Description:
A reverse image pattern for an icon depicting the Mandylion (Image of Edessa) and saints Cosmas and Damian. The saints are holding medical boxes. Various elements of the image contain inscriptions indicating the colors that icon painters were supposed to paint them. A separate ink inscription in the lower right corner reads "Moskov" (Moscow).
