Description:
horizontal, private publication: Shogyo blockcutter. The woman at left is painting a picture of the Daoist immortal who changed a rack into a goat, since 1787 was a Goat Year. The date the the long month numbers are hidden in the calligraphy. The picture also illustrates the Four Accomplishments: the koto, the game of go, calligraphy, and painting.
