Description:
Brass spoon with a seal top, which rarely retain the seal. Seal end spoons are one of the earliest types of spoons with fig-shaped bowls, which preceded oval and egg-shaped bowls of the late 18th and early 19th century. Brass spoons were made from the 17th to the early 18th century. This one was found at the Sagus Iron Works in Masschusetts.
