Description:
Calligraphic drawing on paper in four different types of print in black ink: "BY WASHINGTON / great deeds were done / THOMAS / Jefferson. president / of the United States of America." and three different compass shapes which have been enhanced with watercolors. The back is inscribed in ink: "Written by Eleazar Kingsbury Coventry March 7th, 1803, aged 14 years." There are also faint pencil markings: "14" and "4." This is a rare example of school boy art.
