Description:
Drawn by Timothy Tileston, the great-grandson of Governor Dudley of Massachusetts, when he was 10 yrs. When the watercolor was sold to the Flynts by dealer Winsor White, it was titled "The Ride of Paul Revere," there is no evidence to substantiate this claim. Paper label on the back of the watercolor reads: Painted by Timothy Tileston of Boston / when a very young boy, about, 1788 / he was born Dec 5 1782 / died May 23rd 1866 / grandaughter Virginia Stockwell / Jan. 1923
