Description:
Length of black silk or wool crepe for mourning. This textile could have been used as a veil or as some other trimming to a woman's outfit. The presence of a deep hem on one side suggests a veil. This item may have descended in the Monmouth County/Freehold areas of New Jersey, in the Hendrickson/Edwards families.
