Shomei Tomatsu made this photograph of a wristwatch unearthed 0.7km from the epicenter of the atomic bomb explosion in Nagasaki, Japan, as part of a commission received in 1961 from the Japan Council Against Atomic and Hydrogen Bombs. Shomei would use the title of this photograph as the title for the related monograph: 11:02 Nagasaki (Tokyo: Shashindojin-sha, 1966). EEB, 2014
