Description:
A woman and man sit on the ground outside and face each other as they talk. On the left, the woman wears a full-skirted dress and rests her arms on her knees. Her body is three-quarters turned, while the man, on the right, is positioned sideways in relation to the viewer. The man wears swimming trunks and wraps his arms around his knees. They sit before a grove along a river bank, with fields in the far distance. An upended top hat, referenced in the print's caption, is placed in the right corner foreground.
